The St Andrews Caddie is a guide site: everything a visiting golfer needs to know before, during and after a golf trip to Scotland — the town of St Andrews and well beyond it.
Who writes it
I’m David. I’ve spent nearly three decades working inside the Scottish golf industry — thousands of rounds walked, thousands of visiting golfers looked after. My home links is Carnoustie, where I caddie and where I wrote The Carnoustie Caddie: How the Course Really Plays, a Top-10 Amazon UK golf book.
This site is where I put the rest of what those years taught me: how Scottish golf trips actually work, what they cost, how the Old Course ballot really behaves, and the small things that make the difference between a good trip and the trip of your life.
What you’ll find here
